This project is based on a simple observation: many founders, executives, and board members hold strong personal values, yet face real constraints that shape whether and how those values can be acted upon inside a company. This learning hub aims to make values-led decisions, defined as strategic business choices primarily guided by values above purely financial considerations, more visible, practical, and durable.
Drawing on over 600 examples, the initial research identifies the conditions, mechanisms, and moments that expand or limit leaders’ ability to act on their values in practice. Rather than focusing on exceptional individuals or narrow “win-win” cases, it surfaces repeatable patterns across ownership structure, corporate culture, stakeholder engagement, and more.
The learning hub is anchored by a new report, Hiding in Plain Sight, which summarizes initial findings from Transform Finance’s research. Over time, it will expand to include additional research and tools to support business leaders, investors, and advisors seeking to make values-led decisions.
